Tuhonsiemen are a band from Finland that plays a very raw and old school form of black metal and this is a review of their 2014 ep "Temppeli" which was released by Senseless Life Records.
A very slow, dark and melodic sound starts off the ep before adding in grim black metal vocals and the music starts getting a little bit more heavier along with a more depressive feeling along with some more fast and raw old school elements being thrown into the music and the band also brings in a mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
On some of the tracks small amounts of clean playing and blast beats become a part of the music which is mostly focused on a more old school and raw Finnish sound which also is more in a slow or mid paced direction with the melody having an evil edge to them which is also very close to doom metal and the bass guitars are also very powerful sounding at times.
You can hear a great amount of chaos being invoked when the band brings in fast songs as well as adding in more primal and raw elements into their musical sound and the last tack is very long and epic in length as well as using acoustic guitars in the beginning before going into a more dark, melodic, heavy and raw direction.
Tuhonsiemen continue the tradition of raw and old school Finnish black metal with their sound while also having its melodic moments, the production is very dark, raw and old school sounding having a sound that is more closer to a 90's demo while the lyrics are written in Finnish and cover dark themes.
In my opinion Tuhonsiemen are a very great sounding raw and old school black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Kylvaja" and "Temppeli". 8 out of 10.
