Goat Sperm are a band from Ukraine that plays an orthodox mixture of black and death metal and this is a review of their 2018 ep "Voice in The Womb" which will be released in September by Inferna Profunis Records.
A very dark and heavy sound starts off the ep while the faster sections of t he songs also bring in a great amount of blast beats and war metal elements while the vocals are mostly bestial death metal growls as well as the music also bringing in a great amount of influences from the 90's.
All of the musical instruments on the recording have a very powerful sound to them while the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some dark sounding melodies also being utilized at times as well as a couple of the tracks being very long and epic in length, ritualistic synths and choirs can also be heard briefly and when tremolo picking is utilized it gives the music more of a raw feeling and ritualistic bell's are added onto the closing track.
Goat Sperm plays a musical style that takes war, black and death metal and mixes them together to create something very brutal and bestial sounding, the production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover darkness and occult themes.
In my opinion Goat Sperm are a very great sounding orthodox mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Into The Deep Waters Of Catacombs". 8 out of 10.
