Celepathy are a solo project from Sri Lanka that plays an atmospheric and ambient form of post black metal and this is a review of his 2024 ep "Lost Silver Dream" which was released vt (VIRUPI).
Post rock style clean playing starts off the ep before going into a heavier direction while some of the tracks are also very long and epic in length. Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing along with all of the music sticking to an instrumental direction and all of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them.
At times the music also gets very atmospheric sounding while the riffing also has its repetitive moments. Some of the recording also adds in a small amount of 90's influences as well as sticking to mostly a modern direction. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style.
Ambient style synths, noises and sound effects can also be heard briefly along with the faster sections of th4e ep also adding in a small amount of tremolo picking and blast beats which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling as well as most of the recording also sticking to a slower direction while the production sounds very dark and lo-fi.
In my opinion Celepathy are a very great sounding atmospheric and ambient post black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Lost Silver Dream" and "Let Me Wake". 8 out of 10.
