Italy's Svnth have returned with a new recording which shows the music going for an experimental mixture of post black metal and blackgaze and this is a review of their 2025 album "Pink Noise Youth" which will b e released in April by These Hands Melt.
Indian style folk instruments start off the album before going into a heavier direction while the riffs also add in a decent amount of melody. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them along with the vocals being mostly high pitched black metal screams and the clear singing adds in a touch of alternative rock.
When synths are utilized they also give the songs more of an atmospheric feeling while clean playing is also added in certain sections of the album. When guitar solos and leads are added into the music they are also done in a very melodic post metal style and elements of shoegaze are also used on a lot of tracks.
When the music speeds up a small amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the album more of a raw feeling along with most of the tracks sticking to more of a slower and mid tempo direction and the album also has its experimental moments. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover existential themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Svnth and if you are a fan o experimental post black metal and blackgaze, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Cinnamon Moon" "Exhale" and "Nairobi library". 8 out of 10.
