This is a review of a split ep between Spain's solo projects Nathrath and CleticHammer called "Décadas de Represión" which was released by Bundushathûr Records and we will start off the review with Nathrath a solo project that plays a very raw form of pagan black metal.
His side of the split starts out with some spoken words before going into a very fast and r aw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams while the music also captures a very lo-fi atmosphere as well as being heavily rooted in the old school era, throughout the track you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. The production sounds very dark and raw and the lyrics are written in Gallican and cover paganism, mythology and folklore themes.
In my opinion Nathrath are a very great sounding raw and lo-fi pagan black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out his side of the split.
Next up is CelticHammer a solo project that plays a very raw form of pagan black metal.
His side of the spit starts out with some raw tremolo picking and high pitched black metal screams while the music also captures a very lo-fi atmosphere. The track is also over 6 minutes in length along with the riffing also going into a slower direction at times. The production sounds very dark and raw and the lyrics are written in Gallican and cover Nationalism and Celtic Paganism.
In my opinion CelticHammer are a very great sounding raw and lo-fi pagan black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out his side of the split,.
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of raw pagan black metal. 8 out of 10.
