Infernal Stronghold/Godless Noise/Forcefield Records/2009 CD Review

Infernal  Stronghold  where  a  band  from  Pennsylvania  that  played  a  mixture  of  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black  metal,  thrash  and  crust  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2009 album  "Godless  Noise"  which  was  released  by  Forcefield  Records.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music,  while  the  bass  playing  has  a  very  dark  tone  with  riffs  that  follow  the  riffing that  are  coming  out  of  the  guitars.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  riffs  that  combine  raw  and  primitive  sounding  black  metal  with  crust  and  thrash  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own  with  some  melody  being  thrown  into  the  riffing  at  times,  while  the  lead  guitars  which  are  only  used  briefly  are  very  noisy  sounding  black  metal  guitar  solos  and  leads.

Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  with  some  crust  style  shouts  being  utilized  at  times,  while  the  lyrics  cover  violent,  satanic,  and  anti  christian  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  Infernal  Stronghold  are  a  very  great  sounding  hybrid  of  raw  and  primitive  black  metal,  crust  and  thrash  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  band.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Curb  The  Trend"  "Crashing  Trucks  Into  Churches"  "A  Dog  You  Call  God"  and  "Snorting  The  Ruins  Of  Sodom".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
