Wytchfilth are a 1 man band from the U.K that plays a very atmospheric and depressive form of industrial black metal and this is a review of their self released 2013 ep "The Void Of Human Waste".
Drum programming ranges from slow, mid paced to fast beats, while the synths and sound effects bring a very dark, atmospheric, ambient, noise and industrial sound to the music, as for the bass playing it has a very strong and powerful sound with heavy and primitive riffing that dominates throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very dark, raw and primitive sounding with some industrial influences being thrown into the riffing as well as some depressive melodies and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.
Vocals a re mostly grim sounding and high pitched black metal screams that have a very depressive tone to them at times as well as mixing in some industrial elements and spoken word samples as well as a brief use of deep growls, while the lyrics cover dark and misanthropic themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it with the songs being long and epic in length.
In my opinion Wytchfilth are a very great sounding raw and primitive depressive industrial black metal genre and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "A Drink To Malice" and "The Void Of Human Waste". RECOMMENDED BUY.
