Romania's Persekutor has returned with a new recording which continues the old school style of black metal from their previous releases and this is a review of their self released 2022 ep "Brain Freeze" which will be released on October 7th.
A very heavy traditional metal influenced sound starts off the ep while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams. The music also adds in a great amount of blacvk'n'roll influences along with the music also taking an old school style and taking it into a more modern musical direction.
Most of the music also sticks to either a slow or mid tempo direction while the solos a nd leads are also done in a very melodic style. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them and they also bring in some Iron maiden and Ac/Dc Covers.
On this recording Pervertor takes black'n'roll and traditional metal and mixes them together to create a very mid tempo release that pays homage to the old school as well as remaining modern at the same time. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover winter themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Persekutor and if you are a f an of black'n'roll and blackened heavy metal, y uo should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Brain Freeze" and "Flight of Icarus". 8 out of 10.
