Balengga Pakaduli are a band from Indonesia that plays a very raw from of black metal with elements of dungeon synth and this is a review of their self released 2024 ep which was released by Anonium Noise Records.
Dungeon synth style synths start off the ep along with some grim black metal screams a few seconds later before going into a heavier direction. The fast riffs also add in a great amount of tremolo picking which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling while also capturing a very lo-fi atmosphere.
Melodies can also be heard in some of the guitar riffing while the music also has its dissonant moments. Most of the tracks are also very short in length along with the music also slowing down briefly on a couple of songs and the music also avoids the use of any drum beats.
Balengga Pakaduli plays a style of black metal that is very raw and lo-fi as well as adding in elements of dungeon synth to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness, chaos and human suffering.
In my opinion Balengga Pakaduli are a very great sounding raw and lo-fi black metal band with elements of dungeon synth and if you are a f an of those musical genres, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Untitled 1" "Untitled 4" "Untitled 6" and "Untitled 9". 8out of 10.
