Malphas Interview


1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
1.Malphas is the dust of old project of the guitarist Raven reanimated by Belaam who has brought his voice and Xzebeth with the seconde guitar, Machete on drum and finally Barbarian Whore on bass. In the middle-end of 2014 the band can finally start to compose and play some old songs already written since long time.

2.Recently you have released your first ep, how would you describe the musical sound that is presented on the recording?
2.Indeed the EP occult propaganda has been composed in major part by Raven and the lyrics of Belaam. In the song Awaking excesli Luciferi it is totally other things everybody put sound influences what returned a result which was totally in our expectation musical. Every member participated has the composition without forgetting the influences first one of the band. we’re satisfied about the result but we really want to push the limite of our music.

3.The lyrics cover some left hand path and occult topics, can you tell us a little bit more about your involvement and interest in the black arts?
3.For me the left hand path is a subject that I appreciate private individual to write. To put my faith through my lyrics to worship my divinities is very important for me. To represent what we are.


4.I know that the band is named a mighty grand prince in hell from demonology, what was it that had drawn you to this particular deity that also made you want to name a band in honor of him?4.We wanted to choose a demon name for our project because of our for interest in demonology and occultism but we needed a demon who reflecting our idea and Malphas corresponded. It’s a raven and it’s the builder of huges monument like we try to do with our music.

5.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
5.You know some members have some concerts has their active. Concerning machete and barbarian whore on March 21st, 2015 were their first concert. Concerning the show, the atmosphere we have a kind of trance who come automatically that we enter on stage. It is a way for us of implored our gods has fault our music, a harmony with our gods…Fire,candles,fog,blood,corps paint and clothes unearthed.

6.Do you have any touring or show plans for the future?
6.At the moment we are spirit of composed our album to be able to brought in  recording studio in September but we have some demands and invitations to play for the next years.

7.The ep was released on BMTC Records, can you tell us a little bit more about this label?
7.Yes we recorded our Ep in the BMTC record. The BMTC is a label native from Switzerland taking care of the event Night of Blasphemy and also taking care with recording and distributed some band of black Swiss metal.

8.On a worldwide level how has the feedback been to your music by fans of black metal?
8.We do not have has the hour at present a world fame. For the moment we have of good reviews concerning our EP and our presence on stage

9.The band is from Switzerland a country that has produced a few known bands in the first and second wave of black metal, what are some of the newer bands from your home country that you would recommend?
9.In this case of the Swiss scene Black metal I shall recommend to you of listen to our friends of The True Incest, Chotzä and Forsaken Legion. For us it is groups that we appreciate their music a lot are absolutely good.

10.When Can we expect another album and also where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
10.We are at present spirit of composed the album to be able to record it in September and we think that at the beginning of 2016 it will be available. Concerning the future of Malphas we hope to be able to climbed on the level musical compound of other one title and why not to do  more dates

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an infleunce on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
11.It’s fucking definitely different for each of us….for the drummer it’s more like Led Zeppelin and the Who even if you dont ear on our music like the influences of the guitarist Xzebeth…more thrash metal for him. For Belaam,Raven and Barbarian it’s just black metal and especially Swedish black/death metal…Dissection,Watain and other.
