Nulla+ are a band from Italy that plays a mixture of lo-fi black metal, hardcore punk and stenchcore and this is a review of their 2016 album "Stornelli Distopici" which was released as a joint effort between Symbol Of Domination Productions and Metal Throne Productions.
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the album along with some high pitched black metal screams a few seconds later and when the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the music more of a raw feeling and you can also hear a decent amount of melody in the riffing.
Throughout the recording there is a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them and the music also mixes in a great amount of crust and hardcore punk influences and all of the songs also avoid any guitar solos or leads while also remaining very heavy and raw from beginning to ending of the recording. and the songs also mix in a touch of black'n'roll and the last track is all instrumental.
Nulla+ plays a musicla style that takes a very raw and lo-fi style of black metal and mixes it with rock'n'roll' hardcore punk and stenchcore to create something very original, the production sounds very raw yet heavy at the same time while the lyrics are written in Italian and cover folk and poetry themes.
In my opinion Nulla+ are a very great sounding mixture of raw lo-fi black metal and hardcore punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Antidolorifico" "Maamona" "UnUomo" and "Capire e Valutare". 8 out of 10.
