This is the final review of a recording from Belarus's Piarevaracien for now which shows the band making a return back to more of a pagan/black metal style with the album being called "U Posukach Pacatku Tych Slachou" which was released by Crush The Desert Records.
Acoustic guitar playing starts off the album along with some folk instruments and heavy guitars a few seconds later as well as some clean singing vocals and a great amount of melodic guitar leads can also be heard quite a bit throughout the recording and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Throughout the recording they mix in the folk elements in with the heavier sections of the songs and when the music speeds up a decent amount of blast beats can be heard and when the vocals get aggressive they are done in a more grim black metal screaming approach and the music also gets more atmospheric as the album progresses.
During the faster sections of the songs a great amount of tremolo picking can be heard which also gives the music more of a raw black metal feeling and later songs also start adding in more of a pagan metal style while the solos and leads also utilize a great amount of melody and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and there is also a brief use of back up shouts while some tracks also bring in a small amount of spoken word parts and female vocals.
Piarevarecian brings back more of the pagan/black metal style of previous recordings while also bringing in a more modern take of the genre while still mixing it in with a great amount of folk music elements, the production sounds very dark yet powerful at the same time while the lyrics are written in their native tongue and cover paganism, patriotism, and nature themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Piarevarecian and if you are a fan of black, pagan and folk metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Razdziel II' "Razdziel V" and "Razdziel VII". 8 out of 10.
