Womit Angel are a band from Finland that plays a raw mixture of satanic black metal, thrash, hardcore and punk and this is a review of their 2014 album "Holy Goatse" which will be released in October by Inverse Records.
Bells and melodic Gregorian chants start off the album before going into a very fast raw black metal direction along with blast beats and high pitched screams and the band also brings in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and you can also hear some deeper and demonic elements being utilized in the vocals at times.
There is a decent amount of melody in the guitar riffing at times along with the energy of hardcore punk and the rawness of old school thrash metal and the solos the band uses are in a very dark musical direction that goes back to the 80's style of black metal as well as being perfect for the bands raw black metal sound and the bass guitars also have a very powerful sounding presence on this recording and as the album progresses spoken word parts can be heard in certain sections of the recording.
Womit Angel takes the rawest side of old school satanic black metal and mixes it in with energy of hardcore punk and thrash to create a very raw and extreme style of metla on this recording, the production sounds very raw and powerful while the lyrics are written in a mixture of English and Finnish and cover Satanism, Perverted, and Violent themes.
In my opinion Womit Angel Angel are a very great sounding mixture of raw satanic black metal, thrash and hardcore punk and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band.
