Temple Of Katharsis Interview

1.Can you give us an update on what has been going on with the band since the recording of the new album?

The band entered the studio about 5 months ago and we wrote all the tracks with care but also with an appetite for the best result

2.You have your first full length coming out in August, musically how does it differ from your previous demo, ep and split's?

Definitely in the production side, but also in the composition. The songs are more connected among themselves and longer in duration and more worked

3.While you have put out a good amount of music over the years this is your first full length, can you tell us a little bit more about the long wait?

Regarding the long wait, he played the part that we wanted it to be perfect. We have been waiting a long time for the perfect moment and so instead of the full length we released demos, EPs and several split releases

4.A lot of your lyrics cover Satanic and Anti Christianity themes, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in the black arts?

For sure, the black arts, like anything otherworldly, is something that attracts us. We like to write dark and mysterious lyrics. We were always covered by this. It is something that fills us with inspiration

5.What are some of the other lyrical topics and subjects the band has explored over the years with your music?

Satanism, darkness, opposition to all kinds of religion, war and hatred are some of the topics we have dealt with clearly

6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?

all the artwork is the work of wolf's path media creations which happens to belong to our guitarist zeratul. It is, in my opinion, an extraordinary job.

7.What are some of the best shows that the band has played over the years and also how would you describe your stage performance?

For sure with great names such as rotting christ, septic flesh, dark vision and also suicidal angels are some of our best live performances. Our entire presentation includes corpsepaint, blood, chains and nails. It's strictly in our stage presence

8.Do you have any touring or show plans once the new album is released?

yes of course we have. We want to play the whole new album live inside and outside of Greece. So yes, our live shows are on the schedule

9.The new album is going to be released on 'Theogonia Records', how would you compare working with this label to other labels that you have been a part of in the past?

It is by far the most professional company we have worked with. From the first moment, he clearly understood what we wanted and thus our cooperation came very easily. We are happy to be part of theogonia records

10.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?

Quite encouraging I can say on many levels. People who have known us for a long time were anxiously waiting for the new album and thus showed great interest

11.What is going on with some of the other bands or musical projects these days that some of the band members are a part of?

I can answer this question clearly from my side. With Bestial entity we are preparing a new release which will naturally be a full album and with Cleavercult we are working on new tracks that will be included either in a new full length release or in some promo for a start

12.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

Surely in the next full length album but also split releases it is something that interests us quite a bit as we like to collaborate with other bands of the local and foreign black metal scene

13.What are some of the bands or musical styles the band members are currently listening to nowadays?

All offshoots of metal with more emphasis on extreme style for sure

14.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

We would like to thank you and the occult black metal zine for this interview and of course everyone who has supported us all these years. Glory to the Beast and hornz up!!!
