Defleshing A God are a band from Italy that plays a very raw and satanic form of black metal and this is a review of their self titled demo "Cenopharium".
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the album before going into a very fast and raw musical direction which also utilizes a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams while t he riffs also add in a lot of melody and the music is heavily rooted in the 90's.
Clear vocals can also be heard briefly while the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. Dark soundscapes are also added on one of the tracks and the whole demo also sticks to a heavier direction.
Defleshing A God plays a style of black metal that is very raw and old school in the 90's tradition. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Evil, History, War, Death and Winter themes.
In my opinion Defleshing A God are a very great sounding raw and old school satanic black metal and if you are a f an of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Defleshing A God" and "Gestatorial Chair of Sathan Asmodeus". 8 out of 10.
