Dead Flesh Stigmata are a solo project from Finland that plays an industrial form of black metal and this is a review of his 2024 album "Necrocosmic Death Ritual" which will b e released in September by Werewolf Records.
Industrial style beats start off the album and also mixes in with the heavier sections of the songs while synths can also be heard at times. Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams mixed in with a few growls along with all of the drum beats also being programmed and spoken word parts are also added on a few tracks.
Interludes are also in between a few tracks while all of the musical instruments on the recording also have a very powerful sound to them. A lot of the album is rooted in the 90's style mixed in with a more modern touch along with some melodies also being added into some of the guitar riffing, when the music speeds up a small amount of tremolo picking and blast b eats can be heard which also gives the album more of a raw feeling.
Dead Flesh Stigmata plays a musical style that takes black metal an industrial and mixes them together to create a sound of his own. The production sounds very raw and heavy while the lyrics cover Satanism, Occultism, Darkness and Destruction themes.
In my opinion Dead Flesh Stigmata are a very great sounding industrial black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Worms And Eyes, Eyes As Worms" "The Weak Wept Below" and "In The Shadow of Conquerors". 8 out of 10.
