Dead Slow Hand are a duo from Czechia that plays a very raw and old school and occult form of black metal and this is a review of their 2025 ep "NU^L" which will be released in June.
High pitched black metal screams start off the ep before going into a heavier direction while the music is also very heavily rooted in the classic Nordic style. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast b eats can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them along with one track also adding in a brief use of synths, when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style are spoken words can also be heard briefly.
Dead Slow Hand plays a style of occult black metal that is very raw and old school in the classic tradition. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Luciferian, Baphomet, Occult and Left Hand Path themes.
In my opinion Dead Soul Hand are a very great sounding raw, old school and occult black metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Morning Star Ascendant" and "Revelations". 8 out of 10.
