Bluthammer are a duo from Germany that plays a bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2025 ep "Iron Eagle Division" which was released by Podera's Records.

A very fast, raw and brutal war metal sound starts off the ep along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats. Vocals are mostly bestial growls while the music also adds in a lot of black metal elements as well as the music also bringing in a style that has the classic Australian vibe of the earl days.
All of the riffing is done on power chords while the music also avoids the use of any melodies, solos or leads. Mid tempo sections can also be heard at times along with most of the recording sticking to mostly a faster direction and the whole ep remains very raw from beginning to ending of the recording.
Bluthammer plays a musical style that takes the faster and most brutal sides of war and bestial black/death metal to create a sound of their own. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover war themes.
In my opinion Bluthammer are a very great sounding mixture of war and bestial black/death metal and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this duo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Blood And Iron" and "Iron Will". 8 out of 10.
