Qurun are a solo band from Singapore that plays a very raw and blasphemous form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2025 rehearsal single.
Clean playing starts off the track along with some grim yet high pitched black metal screams a few seconds later which also takes the music into a heavier direction. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the track more of a raw feeling. All of the musical instruments also have a very powerful sound to them while the riffs and guitar leads also add in some dark sounding melodies.
Qurun plays a style of black metal that is very raw and aggressive in the old school tradition. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness and blasphemy themes.
In my opinion Qurun are a very great sounding raw and old school black metal b and and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this rehearsal single. 8 out of 10.
