Raumordnung are an international collective with members from Germany, Austria and Poland that plays a mixture of war metal, power electronics, dark ambient, opera and psy-trance and this is a review of their 2025 album "Stewards Of Eon" which will be released in December as a joint effort between Fucking Kill Records, Drei Cleichen, Cultkill Music and Fiadh Productions.
Dark soundscapes start off the album while also adding in elements of dark ambient before adding in some whispers and demonic voices. Most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while synths are also utilized at times and the recording also adds in a great amount of experimental and avant garde touches.\
When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking, war metal elements and blast beats can be heard which also gives the recording more of a raw feeling. Vocals are a mixture of high pitched black metal screams and bestial growls and the songs also add in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
Power electronics are also added into certain sections of the album along with the programmed beats also taking the music into more 0f a psy-trance direction when they are introduced. Clean playing, operatic singing and spoken words can also be heard briefly as well as some saxophones, flutes and trumpets also being introduced as the recording progresses. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover science fiction themes.
In my opinion Raumordnung are a very great souning mixture of war, metal, power electronics, dark ambient, opera and psy-trance and if you are looking for something very original, you should check out this collective. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Interspehereon' Beacon". 8 out of 10.
