Nidsang/Into The Womb Of Dissolving Flames/Pulverised Records/2014 CD Revirew

  Nidsang  are  a  band  from  Sweden  that  plays  a  very  fast,  melodic  and  satanic  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2014  album  "Into  The  Womb  Of  Dissolving  Flames"  which  will  be  released  by  Pulverised  Records.

  Dark  sound  effects  start  off  the  album  and  after  a  minute  the  music  goes  into  a  very  fast  black  metal  direction  along  with  brutal  blast  beats  and  deep  yet  grim  sounding  vocals  and  after  awhile  you  can  hear  some  melodies  being  added  into t he  recording  along  with  a  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.

  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  album  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  when  guitar  solos  and  leads  are  used  they  add  a  lot  more  darkness  and  melody  into  the  musical  style  this  band  creates  and  they  also  bring  back  the  speed  that  was  presented  on  the  early  Marduk,  Setherial,,  Triumphator,  and  In  Battle  records  which  is  rarely  utilized  these  days  in  Swedish  black  metal  while  also  having  the  modern  day  melody  which  is  closer  to  Watain  and  Ofermod  but  not  sounding  like  any  of  the  bands  mentioned.

  A  good  portion  of  the  songs  are  around  7  minutes  which  also  brings  an  epic  feeling  to  the  fast  and  melodic black  metal  that  is  present  on  this  recording  and  as  the  album  progresses  you  can  also  hear  a  slight  doom  metal  influence  in  the  slower  sections  of  the  guitar  riffing  and  the  faster  sections  demonstrate  a  great  amount  of  talent  and  skill  as  well  as  showing  the  musicians  in  the  band  can  play  their  instruments  a  lot  better  than  most  bands  in  this  musical  genre.

  Nidsang  create  a  very  chaotic  sounding  black  metal  album  with  this  recording  having  a  perfect  balance  between  speed,  heaviness  and  melody  as  well  as  showing  the  best  of  what  Swedish  black  metal  can  offer,  the  production  is  very  professional  sounding  and  the  lyrics  cover  Satanism  and  Occultism  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Nidsang  are  a  very  great  sounding  fast  and  melodic  satanic  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Black  Void  Revelations"  "Layil"  and  "Abysmal  Origins".  8/5  out  of  10.
