Tjaktjadálvve are a solo project from Sweden that plays a very atmospheric and depressive from of black metal and this is a review of his album "Encompassing Nothingness' which will be released in 2026 by Flowing Downward.
Dark soundscapes start off the album before going into a heavier direction while the synths also give the music more of an atmospheric feeling. All of the tracks are also very long and epic in length while the vocals are mostly high pitched depressive black metal screams and the riffs also add in a great amount of melody.
Most of the music is very heavily rooted in the modern era of the genre while also capturing a very melancholic atmosphere. Some of the synths also add in touches of ambient along with all of the songs also avoiding the use of solos or leads and the whole album also sticks to a slower direction.
Tjaktjadálvve plays a style of black metal that is very slow, epic, atmospheric and depressive sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness, depression and melancholy themes.
In my opinion Tjaktjadálvve are a very great sounding atmospheric and depressive black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Solitude Of Abject Darkness" and "Encompassing Nothingness". 8 out of 10.
