Evil Nerfal are a band from Colombia that plays a very raw and old school form of satanic black metal and this is a review of their 2016 album "Hail Black Metal...Vobiscum Buer..." which was released by Tribulacion Productions.
Epic style synths start off the album and after the intro the music goes into a very fast musical direction along with a great amount of blast beats and melodic guitar leads while the vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams and the music also mixes in both first and second wave influences.
A great amount of tremolo picking can be heard in the faster sections of the songs along with the riffs also bringing in a decent amount of melody and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and melodic yet ritualistic chants are also used at times and some tracks also bring in a small amount of clean guitars and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them and the songs also mix in elements of thrash and they close with a synth orientated outro.
Evil Nerfal plays a style of black metal that is very raw, melodic and old school mixing the first and second wave styles together, the production sounds very dark, raw and old school while the lyrics Occultism, Luciferian, Satanism, Anti Religion and Misanthropy themes.
In my opinion Evil Nerfal are a very great sounding raw, melodic and old school satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Empire Of Fucking Blackness" "Lucifer's Legacy" and "Satanic Nerfal". 8 out of 10.
