Uuntar are a duo from the Netherlands that plays a very epic and melodic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2018 album "Voorvadervereing" which will be released on March 201th by Heidens Hart Records.
A very epic keyboard intro starts off the album along with some nature sounds before going into a heavier direction while also mixing the keyboards in the heavier sections of the songs as well as the vocals being mostly grim black metal screams and most of the tracks are very long and epic in length.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great amount of epic sounding melodies along with some spoken word parts also being added into certain sections of the recording while the music is very heavily rooted in the early to mid 90's era of pagan black metal and the music sticks mostly to a slow or mid paced musical direction and they close the album with an instruemntal.
Uuntar plays a style of pagan black metal that is very medieval, raw, epic and melodic sounding in the 90's tradition, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Dutch and cover Germanic Paganism themes.
In my opinion Uuntar are a very great sounding epic and melodic pagan black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should c heck out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Een Germaansche grafheeval" and "Bloed on bloed". 8 out of 10.
