Profane War/The Call To Unholy War/2016 Demo Review

  Profane  War  are  a  band  from  Brazil  that  plays  a  very  raw  and  blasphemous  form  of  black  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their self  released  2016  demo  "The  Call  To  Unholy  War".

  Sounds  of war  start  off  the  demo  before  going  into  a  heavier  direction  which  also  introduces  grim  black  metal  screams  onto  the  recording  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them  along  with  the  riffs  also  adding  in  a  small  amount  of  melody  at  times.

  When  the  music  speeds  up  a  decent  amount  of  tremolo  picking  and  blast  beats  can  also  be  heard  which  gives  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling  while  you  can  also  hear  a  good  amount  of  90's  influences  in  the  bands  musical  style  along  with  the  music  sticking  mostly  to  a  slow  or  mid  tempo  style  and  war  samples  also  return  on  the  closing  track.

  Profane  War  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that is  very  raw,  blasphemous  and  traditional  sounding,  the  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  war,  evilness,  blasphemy  and  anti  Christianity  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Profane  War  are  a  very  great  sounding  raw  and  blasphemous  black  metal  band  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Charring  Christianity"  and  "Sacrifice".  8  out  of  10.
