This is a review of another recording from Denver, Colorado's Accursed Share which continues the raw style of black metal from his previous release and the ep was self released in 2020 and called "Abyssal Human Jihad".
An apocalyptic sounding intro starts off the ep before going into a very fast, raw, melodic and lo-fi direction which also uses a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking. Vocals are mostly grim yet high pitched black metal screams along with the music also adding in a decent amount of 90's influences.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very dark yet melodic style while the songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts. All of the drum beats are also programmed along with all of the music also sticking to a heavier musical direction and the sounds of human torture can also be heard on the closing track
On this recording Accursed Share expands on the raw and lo-fi style of black metal he established on his previous release. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover dark and violent themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Accursed Share and if you are a f an of raw black metal, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "No Redemption". 8 out of 10.
