WinterheartH are a band from St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada that has recently been featured in this zine and on this recording goes for more of a blackened thrash metal direction and this is a review of their self released 2020 single "Motorbreath" which is also a cover of a Metallica song of the same name.
Drum beats start off the track along with some heavy riffing a few seconds later along with some grim black grim sounding black metal screams. A small amount of melody can also be heard in some of the riffs along with the solos and leads also being done in a very old school style and the whole song also sticks to a mid tempo direction.
On this recording WinterheartH takes a Metallica song from 'Kill Em' All' and adds in a more blackened metal vocal approach to give the song more of a modern sound and the production sounds very dark.
In my opinion this is another great sounding track from WinterheartH and if you are a fan of blackened thrash metal, you should check out this single. 8 out of 10.
