1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?
1. We started our band in 2014 but we have been inactive till 2020. We are a black metal band from Opole in southern Poland, we draw our inspirations mostly from polish nature and folklore.
2.Recently you have released your first full length, can you tell us a little bit more abotu the musical style that you went for on the recording?
2. On "Zawrat" we aimed to create music with strong emphasis on atmosphere and melody, sometimes ominous or sinister, other times more melancholic and majestic in its vibe.
3.Your lyrics cover Polish Folklore, can you tell us a little bit more about your interest in this topic?
3. Our lyrics so far are inspired more by nature than folklore. Nature and mountains (Tatra mountains in particular) are our strong source of inspiration. Our lyrics are mostly written methaphorically and nature and our relation to it is very suitable ground for such writing for us.
4.What is the meaning and inspiration behind the name 'Halny'?
4. Halny is a name for polish fen wind. The name comes from mountain folk language. It's a powerful, often very destructive, wind, making impact on physical object as well as messing with people's minds.
5.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?
5. The artwork presents mountain peak in Tatra mountains which is called Zamarła Turnia
6.What are some of the best shows that the band has played so far and also how would you describe your stage performance?
6. So far we played only 5 shows, so not many to pick from, but I would choose our last show in our city, Opole, which was also a release party of "Zawrat".
7.Do you have any touring or show plans for the new album?
7. Yes, we will play a show in Cracow on may 17th with Jarun, Varmia and Pandrador. We had a lot of work with our debiut premiere so we didn't have much time to organise more shows, but we are open for offers.
8.The new album was released on 'Via Nocturna',how did you get in contact with this label?
8. We know each other with Fabian, and we asked him about possibility to release our album with his help. He really appreciated it and done amazing job with our promotion. We watched Via Nocturna's activity for a long time and we really liked his work with other bands.
9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?
9. So far we received mostly very positive reactions.
10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?
10. For now we are happy about interest in our band. We create new songs trying to bring everything to a higher level.
11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?
11. Many bands from various genres had influence on our sound, but most audible influences in our music would be probably Mgła, Furia, Cult of Luna and Odraza.
