Synths start off the album while clean playing can also be heard briefly before going into a heavier direction. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast b eats can b e heard which also gives the recording more of a r aw feeling and the vocals ar e mostly high pitched black metal screams.
Melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing while the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style. Spoken words can also be heard briefly along with the songs also adding in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the music being very heavily rooted in the mid 90's tradition.
Clean playing also returns on a couple tracks and back up shouts can also be heard at times as well as one song also adding in a brief use of spoken words.. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in a mixture of English, Russian and Finnish and cover Occultism and Lovecraftian Horror themes.
In my opinion Antithetic are a very great sounding melodic and old school black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "I" and "VI". 8 out of 10.
