Cvinger are a band from Slovenia that has been featured before in this zine and plays a very blasphemous and misanthropic form of black metal and this is a review of their self released 2014 album "The Enthronement Ov Diabolical".
Ritualistic sounds and melodic chanting start off the album and after the intro the music goes into a very fast and raw black metal direction along with brutal blast beats and grim screams and you can hear a good amount of blackened death metal elements in the bands musical style and they also mix in the ritualistic sounds with the more brutal parts at times.
You can hear some melodies being added into certain sections of the recording and they also give the songs a darker edge along with the vocals also bringing in death metal growls at times and as the album progresses the music starts bringing in a good mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts.
While the music remains true to the bands black metal roots the death metal influence still has a very powerful impact in all of the songs while the music remains very dark and ritualistic sounding at the same time and the album remains mostly in a brutal and fast direction throughout all of the songs while also slowing down at times.
Cvinger on this album plays a very fast style of black metal and mixes in a great amount of brutal death metal elements which takes their music into a different direction while still being very dark and blasphemous, the production sounds very professional for being a self released recording while the lyrics cover Occultism, Dark and Misanthropic themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Cvinger and if you are a fan of both black and death metal, you should enjoy this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Anno Inferni" "Bogs Of the Ancient Ones" "Anguish in Ossuary" and "The Enthronement Ov Diabolical". 8 out of 10.
