Morgirion are a band from Connecticut that has been featured before in this zine with a musical style I would describe as being a raw and old school form of black metal and this is a review of their live 2014 cassette "None Left To Worship" which was released the NoVisibleScars.
The cassette starts out with a very fast, raw and heavy old school black metal sound along with blast beats and high pitched grim sounding screams and after awhile they bring in a mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts as well as the bass guitars getting a lot more powerful in sound.
When the ep goes into other song s the band sticks to an old school black metal direction bringing in influences from both Norwegian and Swedish bands as well as beinging death metal growls into certain sections of the recording.
With this live recording Morgirion really show an aggressive sound with their old school black metal approach as well as showing how powerful fast and brutal black metal can sound live and this is the type of sound I would want to hear when I am at a black metal show.
Song lyrics cover misanthropic and nihilism themes, while the production has a very raw and heavy sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording as well as all of the songs being recorded live.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Morgirion and if you are a fan of fast, raw old school black metal, you should check out this live cassette. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "None Left To Worship" and "Infiltration Of Divine Entity". 8 out of 10.
