Supreme Dominion are a band from Greece that plays a Hellenic form of black metal and this is a review of their 2017 ep "Triptolemus" which will be released in the autumn of 2017.
A very fast and raw sound along with a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats start off the album while the solos and leads are done in a very melodic fashion and the vocals are very grim and angry sounding black metal screams and the music also brings in a traditional Hellenic style.
A lot of the music is very heavily rooted in the early 90's while spoken word parts are also used briefly along with most of the tracks being very long and epic in length and the songs also bring in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and the riffs also bring in a great amount of melody and the music always remains heavy.
Supreme Dominion plays a style of Hellenic black metal that is very heavily rooted in the early 90's, the production sounds very raw and old school while the lyrics cover philosophy, theosophy and ancient gods themes.
In my opinion Supreme Dominion are a very great sounding Hellenic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Rat Is Dead" and "Blood Communion". 8 out of 10.
