Aussichtslos Interview

1.For those that have never heard of you before, can you tell us a little bit about the band?

Aussichtslos was formed in the year 2014 by GARST and NORSK. We are friends since our childhood. One day we decided to create music that we want to listen to. And here we are.

2.Recently you have released a new album, can you tell us a little bit more about the musical style that you went for on the recording?

We play some harsh but yet melodic style of black metal.

3.The band has been around since 2014 but waited until 2021 to release any music, can you tell us a little bit more about the earlier years?

Some private stuff let the band sleep for 6 years. We also couldn’t find a human drummer at that time. The first recordings have been done with a drum computer. In 2020 we finally found REST. A human drum machine, who had also mixed and mastered our album. A big thanks to REST for his work, passion and time.

4.What are some of the lyrical topics and subjects the band has explored so far with the music?

Well, it’s about inner demons , self-struggle , the war in mind which everybody fights, but it’s not hopeless. Were you can find weakness inside you, you can always find strength too. Sometimes you win against your enemies and sometimes you loose the war. Beside that the lyrics are also about the beauty of the nature and the hate against the stupid masses . Also some criticism about religion in general.

5.I know the bands name is German for 'futile' and 'hopeless', how does this name fit in with the musical style that you play?

I think the music speaks for itself. In combination with the lyrics it fits perfect. The music should give you the power to go on and on. In fact we thought the name sounds good. Your situation is hopeless, nevertheless you keep on fighting.

6.Can you tell us a little bit more about the artwork that is presented on the new album cover?

The artwork was created by Marlen Jachek, a very talented designer (contact: marlen.jachek@live.at). The picture should visualize one kind of the inner demons, which is a recurring part of our lyrical topics.

7.Has the band had any opportunities to do live shows or open to the idea?

NO!

8.So far very little is known about the band, do you prefer to keep a low profile?

We want to let the music speak for itself. There is no social media profile of Aussichtslos, and it’s not planned to be. For any musically news people should check the social media profiles of our label purity through fire. The only thing we have is a bandcamp profile, were you can support us.

9.On a worldwide level how has the reaction been to your music by fans of black metal?

So far it’s very good! Black Metal Promotion supported our full album on youtube, the views and comments are very positive! Also there are many supporters on bandcamp.

10.Where do you see the band heading into musically during the future?

We have already record our second album and when it’s possible we are willing to record the third one this year. You will always get harsh melodic black metal, the one we prefer, from Aussichtslos.

11.What are some of the bands or musical styles that have had an influence on your music and also what are you listening to nowadays?

When you create music, i think everything you have ever heard before influences you subconsciously. There was no masterplan to sound like this or that. We simply made what we like to hear musically.

Nowadays there are still some bands i hear since years like Nargaroth, Burzum, Sargeist, Satanic Warmaster, Immortal, Gorgoroth, Belphegor ….

From the newer Bands there are Human Serpent, Sarkrista, Havukruunu, Totenwache, Spectral Wound, Faidra, Malum, Goats of Doom and so on.

12.Before we wrap up this interview, do you have any final words or thoughts?

Thanks to Purity Through Fire for the trust in our music. It was our Label of choice and we are glad to have such an professional support.  Thanks to Micha from No-Kvlt Magazin for introducing us to REST. A special thank goes out to everybody who bought our CD or had supported us on bandcamp!

Thanks for the Interview
