Emptiness Soul where a band from Russia that played a very depressive form of black metal and this is a review of their 2011 album "Without You" which was re-issued in 2012 by Satanath Records.
Depressive sounding keyboards start off the album along with a variety of many different keys and the music can also get very atmospheric at times and on the second track the music starts getting more heavier as well as adding in depressive black metal screams as well as coming the atmosphere of the intro.
Melodies can be heard in the music at times and the vocals also get deep and grim in some parts of the songs and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in more of a distorted and melodic style and the riffs also add in melodies and the songs stick to mostly a slow or mid paced musical direction and as the album progresses spoken word parts and acoustic guitars can be heard briefly and they also bring in a few instrumental tracks towards the end.
Emptiness Soul plays a style of black metal that is very depressive and atmospheric while also sticking mostly to a slow style of the genre, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover suicide and death themes.
In my opinion Emptiness Soul where a very great sounding atmospheric, depressive black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this re-issue. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "My Last Morning" "I For Ever Ashes" "Old Age" and "Moonlight". 8 out of 10.
