A very dark, depressive and horror soundtrack intro starts off the ep along with some ritualistic spoken word parts which also sounds very demonic before going into a heavier musical direction. When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams while the riffs also add in a good amount of melody as well as all of the musical instruments having a very powerful sound to them. death metal growls are also used quite a bit throughout the recording and the riffs also add in elements of thrash and traditional metal.
The songs also add in a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with the music also adding in a great amount of 90's era Swedish influences but keeping it modern at the same time. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in a very melodic yet aggressive style and as the ep progresses a brief use of acoustic guitars can also be heard. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Satanism, Anti Religion and Philosophical themes.
In my opinion Demenzia Mortis are a very great sounding mixture of black and death metal and if you are a fan of those musical genres, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Blood Ritual" and "Commanding the Legions". 8 out of 10.
