Undoer are a band from Turkey that plays a sleek and scathing form of black metal and this is a review of their 2019 ep "Survival Is A Myth" which will be released on June 25th by Sun & Moon.
A very dark, heavy and distorted sound starts off the ep while the faster sections of the songs also use a great amount of blast beats and tremolo picking which also gives the music more of a raw feeling and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams along with the riffs also adding in a decent amount of dark sounding melodies. All of the tracks are very long and epic in length while the songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts and when guitar solos and leads are utilized they are done in more of a dissonant style and as the ep progresses spoken word parts and shouts can also be heard in certain sections of the recording.
Undoer plays a style of black metal that is very sleek and scathing sounding. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover misanthropy, negativity, personal struggles and political themes.
In my opinion Undoer are a very great sounding sleek and scathing black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "A New Anthem". 8 out of 10.
