Deathless Void are a band from the Netherlands that plays a very violent and futuristic form of black metal and this is a review of their self titled 2022 ep which will be released in February by Iron Bonehead Productions.
A very dark yet heavy sound starts off the ep while the solos and leads also add in a good amount of evil sounding melodies. Vocals are mostly grim sounding yet high pitched black metal screams along with some noise orientated soundscapes also being utilized briefly and the riffs also add in a decent amount of melody.
When the music speeds up a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling. The music also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts along with some synths also being utilized briefly and the closing track is also very long and epic in length, the music also has its dissonant moments.
Deathless Void plays a style of black metal that is very aggressive and heavily rooted in the classic traditions of the genre as will as taking the genre into a more modern and futuristic direction. The production sound s very dark and raw while the lyrics cover darkness themes.
In my opinion Deathless Void are a very great sounding modern and futuristic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Crossing The Threshold". 8 out of 10.
