Apatia are a solo project from Italy that plays a very depressive form of post black metal and this is a review of his 2020 album "PRima Forma Indefinita" which was released by Il Grido - Incisioni Sonore.
Clean playing starts off the album while the solos and leads are also done in a very melodic style. Most of the tracks are also very long and epic in length along with all of the musical instruments also having a very powerful sound to them and melodies are also added into a lot of the guitar riffing.
Vocals are done in mostly a depressive black metal style while clear singing can also be heard on a couple of the tracks. When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic post metal style along with a couple of songs also adding in a small amount of spoken word parts and the most album also sticks to a slower direction as well as the closing track also adding in a brief use of fast yet raw tremolo picking and blast beats, clean playing also makes a return in certain sections of the recording.
Apatia plays a style of post black metal that is very slow and depressive sounding. The production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics are written in Italian and cover suicide, death and depression themes.
In my opinion Apatia are a very great sounding depressive post black metal solo project and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Male Di Vivere" and "Mono". 8 out of 10.
