Vholdghast/End Of All/Iron, Blood And Death Corporation/2023 EP Review

 

  Vholdghast  are  a  duo  from  Sweden  that  plays  an  aggressive  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2023  ep  "End  Of  All"  which  was  released  by  Iron,  Blood  And  Death  Corporation.

  A  very  dark,  heavy  and  brutal  sound  starts  off  the  ep  while  the  vocals  bring  in  a  mixture  of  death  metal  growls  and  black  metal  screams.  All  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a very  powerful  sound  to  them  and  the  faster  sections  of  the  songs  also  add  in  a  lot  of  blast  beats.

  When  tremolo  picking  is  added  into  the  faster  riffing  they  also  give  the  music  more  of  a  raw  feeling  while  the  songs  also  add  in a   good  mixture  of  slow,  mid  paced  and  fast  parts.  When  guitar  leads  are  utilized  they  are  also  done  in  a  very  dark  style  and  one  track  also  adds  in    brief  use  of  clean  playing.

  Vholdghast  plays  a  musical  style  that  takes  black  and  death  metal  and  mixes  them  together  to  create  a  sound  of  their  own.  The  production  sounds  very  professional  while  the  lyrics  cover  horror,  hatred  and  disgust  themes.

  In  my  opinion  Vholdghast  are  a  very  great  sounding  mixture  of  black  and  death  metal  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  those  musical  genres,  you  should  check  out  this  duo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  'Beyond  All  Creation"  and  "World  Eater".  8  out  of  10.
