Plecto Aliquem Capite are a band from Sri Lanka that has been featured before in this zine with a musical style I would describe as being depressive black metal with elements of experimental and noise and this is a review of their 2010 ep "As The Sane Crumble" which was released by Hypnotic Dirge Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown into the music at times, while the sound effects and violins bring a very avant garde, noise and experimental sound to the recording, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast depressive black metal riffs that are very dark, raw and primitive sounding with some drone and thrash elements being thrown into the riffing at times and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.
Vocals are mostly high pitched depressive black metal/harsh noise screams along with some deep demonic growls, while the lyrics cover suffocation and grief, as for the production it has a very dark, heavy, raw and primitive sound to it.
In my opinion this another great sounding recording from Plecto Aliquem Capite and if you are a very of raw and primitive sounding depressive black metal, you should check out t his ep. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Disembowelment". RECOMMENDED BUY.
