Primeval Mass are a band from Greece that plays an occult form of black metal and this is a review of their 2012 album "Blood Breathing Idols" which was released by Stuza Production.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the bass playing has a very strong and powerful sound with heavy riffing that dominates throughout the recording, as for the sound effects when they are utilized bring a very dark, occult and avant garde sound to the music.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast occult black metal riffs that use some raw and primitive sounding elements as well as some melody and thrash influences in the riffing as well as a brief use of soft and clean playing, while the lead guitars are very melodic sounding black metal guitar solos and leads, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized use finger picking and full chords to enhance the dark atmosphere of the music.
Vocals are mostly grim sounding black metal screams with some deep demonic growls, while the lyrics cover Occultism and Darkness, as for t he production it has a very strong, powerful, heavy and dark sound where you can hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording with some of the songs being long and epic in length.
In my opinion Primeval Mass are a very great sounding occult black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this recording. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Rites of Transcendence" "Spheres Of Deliverance" and "thine Art The Sulphur Plagues". RECOMMENDED BUY.
