The Rain In Endless Fall are a band from Portland, Oregon that plays a very raw and primitive form of ambient black metal and this is a review of their 2012 demo "Weald Of Introspection" which was released by Fallen Empire Records.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being utilized at times, while the synths bring a very dark and atmospheric ambient sound to the recording when they are used for a few seconds, as for the bass playing it has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that are coming out of the guitars.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very dark, raw and primitive sounding and there are no guitar solos or leads present on this recording, as for the acoustic guitars when they are utilized they use finger picking and full chords to enhance the dark ambient elements of the music.
Vocals are all grim sounding black metal screams, while the lyrics cover dark themes, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound with a mixture of black metal and dark ambient songs.
In my opinion The Rain In Endless Fall are a very great sounding dark, raw and primitive black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this demo. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Ashes Left Of A Flame That Once Burned Within" and "A Chalice Of My Blood". RECOMMENDED BUY.
