This is a review of a split album between Netherlands's Hell Icon and Hungary's Princeps Daemonum called "Princeps Daemonum/Icono Infernorum Et Daemonium Malevoli" which was released as a joint effort between Fekete Terror Productions and Villaemush Rex and we will start off the review with Hell Icon a band that plays a very ritualistic form of satanic black metal.
Their side of the split starts out with a distorted guitar sound and primitive leads and solos before adding in drum beats and high pitched black metal screams that also use a small amount of suicidal cries and the first track sounds very tribal and ritualistic and after awhile the guitar riffs start bringing in a small amount of melody and all of the music sticks to a very slow musical direction, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Satanism, Devil Worship and Occultism themes.
In my opinion Hell Icon are a very great sounding ritualistic satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Siscipe Deprecationem Nostram".
Next up is Princeps Daemonum a band that plays a very raw form of satanic black metal.
Their side of the split starts out with a very heavy guitar sound and ritualistic spoken word parts as well as adding in deep growls and high pitched black metal screams as well as a brief use of demonic laughter and after awhile the music speeds up and brings in a more raw style of the genre along with a small amount of blast beats and you can also hear some morbid sounding melodies in the guitar riffing at times, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover horror, Satanism and Invocation themes.
In my opinion Princeps Daemonum are a very great sounding raw and satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out their side of the split. RECOMMENDED TRACK "Aeria Deiecta". 8 out of 10.
In conclusion I feel this is a very great sounding split and I would recommend it to all fans of satanic black metal. 8 out of 10.
