Trelldom/Til Et Annet/Hammerheart Records/1998 CD Review

Trelldom are a band from Norway that is one of Gaahl's side projects that play a very dark and nature orientated from of black metal and this is a review of their 1998 album "Til Et Annet" which was released by Hammerheart Records.

Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with some blast beats being thrown in at times, while the bass playing has a very strong and powerful tone with riffs that dominate throughout the recording.

Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast black metal riffs that are very raw, primitive and epic sounding with some dark sounding melodies being thrown in at times and there are little to no guitar solos or leads present on this recording.

Vocals are a mixture of grim sounding and high pitched black metal screams with some deep growls being thrown in at times as well as a small amount of clean singing, while the lyrics are written in Norwegian and cover Norse Shamanism, Paganism, Heritage and History, as for the production it has a very dark, raw and primitive sound to it.

In my opinion Trelldom are a very good nature orientated black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Vender meg mot ett kommende" "Til et annet" and "Hoyt opp i dypet". RECOMMENDED BUY.
