Rites Of Thy Degrinolade where a band from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada that played a very raw and brutal mixture of black/war/death metal and this is a review of their 2001 album "Totality" which was released by Realms Of Darkness Productions.
Drums range from slow, mid paced to fast drumming with a lot of brutal sounding blast beats being thrown in, while the bass playing has a very thick, powerful and heavy tone with riffs that dominate throughout the recording.
Rhythm guitars range from slow, mid paced to fast raw and primitive riffing that combines the most brutal elements of black, death, and war metal together as will as the occasional weird sound effects that add to the chaos of the music and there are little to no guitar solos or leads present on the recording.
Vocals are mostly high pitched war/black metal screams with some deep growls being thrown in at times as well as some whispered vocals being used briefly on one song, while the lyrics cover hateful, violent and destructive themes, as for the production it has a very heavy, dark, raw and primitive feel to it but you can still hear all of the musical instruments that are present on this recording.
In my opinion Rites Of Thy Degringolade where a very good black/war/death metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Twenty-Six Triumphant Years" "Hail Pain" and "The Highest Form Of Violence". RECOMMENDED BUY.
