Thy Infernal/ Warlords Of Hell/Moribund Records/2001 CD Review

Thy Infernal where a band from Portland, Oregon that played a very fast and brutal form of satanic black metal and this is a review of their 2001 album "Warlords Of Hell" which was released by Moribund Records.

Drums range from mid paced to fast drumming with a good amount of brutal blast beats being thrown in, while the bass playing has a very dark tone with riffs that follow the riffing that is coming out of the guitars.

Rhythm guitars range from mid paced to fast brutal black metal riffs that utilize some dark sounding melodies at times as well as some thrash and traditional style riffing while the lead guitars are very chaotic sounding black metal guitar leads and solos that also have a classic metal feel to  them, as for the acoustic guitars which are only used briefly on a couple of songs they add another dimension of darkness to the music.

Vocals are mostly high pitched black metal screams with some deep growls being thrown in at times, while the lyrics cover Satanism, Anti Christianity and Metal, as for the production it has a very heavy and powerful sound while still retaining a raw and primitive approach.

In my opinion Thy Infernal where a very good brutal satanic black metal band and if you are a fan of this style, you should check out this band. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Rotting In Hell" "Immortal Satanic Spirit" and "Warlords Of Hell". RECOMMENDED BUY.
