Sarcalogos/Tour Demo 2013 Review

This  is  the  final  review  of  a  recording  from  Sarcalogos  which  continues  their  old  school  approach to  satanic  black  metal  with  the  songs  being  recorded  live  and  self  released  as  a  demo  in  2013.

Drums  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  drumming  with  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  being  thrown  into  the  music,  and  there  is  no  use  of  a  bass  guitar  present  on  this  recording  with  the  music  being  all  drums,  guitars  and  vocals.

Rhythm  guitars  range  from  slow,  mid  paced  to  fast  old  school  black  metal  riffs  that  are  very  dark,  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sounding  along  with  some  melodic  elements,  thrash,  death  metal  and  punk  influences  being  thrown  into  the  riffing  and  there  are  no  guitar  solos  or  leads  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  are  mostly  grim  sounding  and  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  that  have  a  depressive  tone  to  them  at  times  as  well  as  a  brief  use  of  deep  demonic  death  metal  growls,  while  the  lyrics cover  Satanism,  Occultism  and  Suicide  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  heavy,  raw  and  primitive  sound  to  it.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Sarcalogos  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  old  school,  satanic  black  metal,  you  should  check  out  this  demo.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Nothing  Beyond  The  Grave"  and  "Torturous  Halls  Of  Existence".  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
