Crown Of Ascension/Transmission Errors/Xenoglossy Productions/2022 Full Length Review

 

  Crown  Of  Ascension  are  a  solo  project from  the  United  Kingdom  that  plays  a  very  experimental  form  of  black  metal  with  some  electronic,  drone  and  industrial  and  this  is  a  review  of  his  2022  album  "Trnasmission  Errors"  which  will  be  released  on  November  25th  by  Xenoglossy  Productions.

  Electronic  sounding  drones  start  off  the  album  before  going  into  a  very  fast  and  raw  musical  direction  which  also  utilizes  a  great  amount  of  blast  beats  and  tremolo  picking.  Vocals  are  mostly  high  pitched  black  metal  screams  while  the  songs  also  mix  in  a  great  amount  of  industrial  style  beats.     

     At  times  the  music  also  gets  very  experimental  sounding  while  all  of  the  musical  instruments  on  the  recording  also  have  a  very  powerful  sound  to  them.  Clean  playing  can  also  be  heard  briefly  along  with  some  of  the  songs  also a ding  in  a  decent  mixture  of  mid  tempo  and  fast  parts  and  a  couple  of  the  tracks  are  also  very  long  and  epic  in  length  as  well  as  the  guitar  leads  being  done  in  a  very  chaotic  style  when  they  are  finally  utilized..  

  Crown  Of  Ascension  plays  a  style  of  black  metal  that  is  very  experimental  sounding  without  losing  any  aggression.  The  production  sounds  very  dark  and  raw  while  the  lyrics  cover  dark  and  scientific  themes. 

  In  my  opinion  Crown  Of  Ascension  are  a  very  great  sounding  experimental  black  metal  solo  project  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  this  musical  genre,  you  should  check  out  this  album.  RECOMMENDED  TRACKS  INCLUDE  "Transmission  Errors"  and  "The  great  Dying".  8 out  of  10.
