Human Agony are a band from Victoria B.C, Canada that plays a bestial mixture of war, black and death metal and this is a review of their 2018 ep "Goring Christ" which will be released in December by Invictus Productions.
A very dark war orientated intro starts off the ep before going into a very fast and raw brutal war metal direction which also uses a great amount of tremolo picking and blast beats while the vocals are a mixture of grim black metal screams and bestial growls and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.
Throughout the recording you can also hear a great mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while the music is very heavily rooted in the mid 90's to early 2000's era of war metal along with some dark soundscapes and spoken word parts also being used briefly on a couple of tracks before returning back to a heavier direction.
Human Agony plays a style of war metal that is very traditional, raw and brutal sounding, the production sounds very dark and raw while the lyrics cover Blasphemy, Satanism and Violence themes.
In my opinion Human Agony are a very great sounding war metal band and if you are a fan of this musical genre, you should check out this ep. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "Humiliating Nazarenic Corpse" and "Satanic Immersion In Goat Piss'. 8 out of 10.
