Silent Leges Inter Arma are a band from Germany that has been featured before in this zine and plays a very aggressive form of black metal and this is a review of their self released album "Ad plures ire" which will be released in 022.
Water sounds start off the album before going into a heavier direction while you can also hear all of the musical instruments that are present on the recording. When the music speeds up a decent amount of black metal style tremolo picking and blast beats can be heard which also gives the songs more of a raw feeling.
Vocals are mostly done in a deep growling style which also adds elements of death metal into the music. The songs also add in a decent mixture of slow, mid paced and fast parts while melodies are also added into some of the guitar riffing along with the music also having its technical moments.
When guitar solos and leads are utilized they are also done in a very melodic style along with a couple of tracks also adding in a brief use of clean playing and stringed instruments as well as a couple of the songs also being instrumentals which also adds in a small amount of classical guitars and pianos before returning back to a heavier direction, a couple of the tracks are also very long and epic in length. The production sounds very professional while the lyrics cover Sumerian Mythology and Darkness themes.
In my opinion this is another great sounding recording from Silent Leges Inter Arma and if you are a fan of modern and aggressive black metal, you should check out this album. RECOMMENDED TRACKS INCLUDE "The Way Of All Flesh" and "Descent to Hell". 8 out of 10.
